If apartment living, limited space, or reduced mobility is keeping you from gardening, consider containers! Container gardening is a fantastic way to continue enjoying all the benefits of gardening on a smaller scale. To be a successful container gardener, you need to know not only about the plants that grow well in containers, but also how growing in containers impacts plants. You will learn about the advantages and disadvantages of different container types, container soils and their characteristics, watering and fertilizing schedules, and how to choose vegetables, herbs, annuals, and perennials that are well suited for containers. This program is presented in collaboration between the Library, Sustainable Stoughton, and Dane County Extension Horticulture. Space is limited and registration is required for this free program for adults (ages 16+)
Space is limited at this program and seats will likely fill. Please register using the link below or calling Stoughton Public Library at 608-873-6281
